Getting Engaged in The Grand Canyon!

You guys. I got engaged. IN THE GRAND CANYON. I'm still freaking out and it was two weeks ago. My fiance and I have been together since I was 14, for 11 years and I have waited for this moment for what feels like forever and I can't believe I am lucky enough to share forever with the most amazing person ever!

We woke up early on April 2nd and left our air bnb to catch the sunrise at Hopi Point and hiked down South Kaibab trail to Oh Ahh Point which was breathtaking. After that we grabbed a quick bite to eat and came back to the canyon for more hiking. We ended up at the most southern part of the rim at a place called Hermit's Nest.

We were getting ready for our decent down the trail when I saw a bird hanging out on top of a Bonsai tree pretty much asking to be photographed. I took to photographing the bird and as it flew away I mumbled some expletives and turned around to find Ryann down on one knee.

"Christina, will you marry me?"

I think I laughed quite a bit while also crying and smiling gigantically. Obviously I said yes and he cried and we cried and hugged and it was so beyond perfect.
